Taiyaki (Fish shape waffle) たい焼き

Taiyaki (sea bream shape waffle) is a type of manju. Manju is a type of Wagashi (=Japanese sweets) typically stuffed with anko(=red bean paste). Unlike mochi sweets, it is made with flour and steamed or baked. To make Taiyaki, you need to buy special machine at online or electric stores. You can also find Taiyaki shops at many places here in Japan. Usually, Taiyaki has red bean paste inside but some shops sell custard cream, matcha cream, sweet potato paste, Chocolate cream, Sesame cream etc.
