About YUCa

YUCa – Entrepreneur & Culinary Expert

Coming from a family of farmers, I grew up consuming locally grown food in the northern part of Japan.
I worked as a food writer in Toronto (Canada) and New York (U.S.A) before returning to Tokyo, where I worked as a chef at a fermented food and vegetarian/vegan cuisine restaurant, as well as a kindergarten. In 2013, I founded “YUCa’s Japanese Cooking,” where I teach home cooking to guests from all over the world and continue to create new recipes. In 2019, I published my first cookbook, “YUCa’s Japanese Cooking -The First Cookbook by YUCa -” (available only in English). I was also honored with the “Best of the Best” award by TripAdvisor in both 2021 and 2023.

「食卓から暮らしを豊かに ~ Enrich Life From Table ~ 」を理念に、2013年から多国籍の方々を対象にした料理教室をスタート。これまでに1万人以上に「日本食と文化」を伝えてきました。2019年には初の料理本『YUCa’s Japanese Cooking – The first cookbook by YUCa -』を出版し、2023年にはプレミアム日本茶ブランド「旅するお茶 YUCa’s Tea™」を立ち上げました。現在は、グローバルでの「日本食と日本文化」のさらなる普及と発展を目指し、既存事業の強化と新規事業の開発に注力し、次世代の料理家や起業家の育成にも力を入れています。

2016年  YouTubeチャンネル立ち上げ
2016年  東京都荒川区に移転
