Categorised in: | Link of this article

Cooking Japanese rice is one of the essential technique in Japanese cooking. However, in Japan, it is common to use a rice cooker. Therefore, I will show you how to cook delicious Japanese rice even if you do not have a rice cooker. The key points are to sharpen rice without water and not to wash it too much.

Ingredients (2 servings):

1 Rice Cup (180ml) Japanese rice *short grain sushi rice
1 Cup (200ml) Water

Directions:

1. Stir and rinse the rice for 2 times. Then, drain the rice.
*Rice has nutrition, so the water of rice doesn’t have to be clear.

2. Put the rice and pour water in a pot.

3. Put the lid, cook over high heat and bring to a boil.

4. After boiling, turn off the heat and leave the pot for 15 minutes.
