Recipe : Bean Sprout and Cucumber Salad with Yukari
This Bean Sprout & Cucumber Yukari Salad is the perfect side dish to brighten up any meal!
With crisp cucumbers, crunchy bean sprouts, and the unique flavor of Yukari (shiso flakes), it’s a simple yet flavorful bite. Quick, healthy, and full of that perfect umami flavor — you’ll want to make this over and over.
Ingredients (2-3 servings) :
- 1/2 bag Bean sprouts
- 1 Cucumber
- 1 Tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Yukari (dried red shiso leaf seasoning)
Instructions :
1. Boil the bean sprouts
Rinse the bean sprouts, then boil them briefly in boiling water for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Drain and let cool. Squeeze gently to remove excess moisture.
2. Prepare the cucumber
Cut the cucumber into thin strips or rounds. Sprinkle with a little salt (not listed in ingredients), let sit for 5 minutes, then lightly squeeze out the moisture.
3. Combine
In a bowl, mix the boiled bean sprouts, cucumber, Yukari, and sesame oil. Toss well and serve.
