Mom’s Life in Japan 🇯🇵 | Part.1 | 24 Hours| Japanese Curry Roux Recipe for Kids
When my daughter’s daycare closed during the pandemic, I suddenly found myself juggling full-time parenting and content creation. With Japan under strict travel restrictions, I couldn’t hold cooking classes — so I focused on making recipe videos during nap times! Take a peek behind the scenes as I navigate toddler meals, video editing, and life at home.

In this video, I’m sharing what I bought from an online supermarket on a weekday in 2021. I often use grocery delivery when I’m busy or have heavy items — planning ahead really helps! This time, I added voiceover throughout the video for a slightly different feel. Hope you enjoy it! If you liked it, please give it a thumbs up or leave a comment — I’d love to hear from you!

New Noren at our cooking studio in Tokyo

A traditional noren curtain has just been added to our gallery space!
Recently, we shared the exciting news about the launch of our gallery where you can immerse yourself in the world of YUCa’s Tea. Now, we’ve installed a specially crafted noren within the same space.
Not only does it provide a sense of privacy—so the inside of the house isn’t fully visible when you open the door—but it also gently guides visitors toward the second-floor kitchen studio. It’s both functional and beautiful, and we’re absolutely in love with it. We’d love for you to come and see it in person!

Hello from Tokyo (August 2025)

August has begun! Here in Japan, we’re right in the middle of the summer heat. Our local shrine has started its summer festival. Since it’s our guardian shrine, I made a small donation.
Two lanterns, one with “YUCa’s Japanese Cooking” and the other with “YUCa’s Tea” were displayed side by side. It’s only for a short while, but I’m looking forward to enjoying the summer scenery.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer!
