A Little Taste of Japan, From My Kitchen to Yours
Recipes, Japanese food culture, tea, lifestyle,
and stories from Tokyo.
Hello, I’m YUCa.
I’m a Japanese culinary expert and owner of YUCa’s Japanese Cooking in Tokyo. Since 2013, I’ve been teaching people from around the world how to cook authentic Japanese food right here in my kitchen.
To me, Japanese cuisine is about much more than just recipes.
It’s deeply connected to the seasons, tea culture, tableware, traditions, and the thoughtful details of everyday life in Japan.
This newsletter is where I share all of these stories and insights with you.

A New Journey: The Japanese Kitchen Way
Over the years, I’ve come to realize that Japanese cooking is also about how we live.
How we choose ingredients.
How we follow the seasons.
How we create balance.
How we care for food and the tools we use.
And how we slow down and appreciate what is in front of us.
These ideas are becoming a new project called The Japanese Kitchen Way.
I’ll be sharing these thoughts little by little through this newsletter — alongside the recipes, tea, food, and everyday stories I’ve always loved sharing.
