Hokusai’s “The Great Wave” by LEGO

Categorised in: | Link of this article

Do you know a Japanese famous artist, Katsushika Hokusai?
Even if you do not know his name, you may have seen this ”The Great Wave off the Coast of Kanagawa”, one of his masterpieces.

Since this LEGO product were recently released, we decided to display it inside the YJC classroom. Furthermore, we are happy to add a Japanese-style interior.

Near the cooking school is the Sumida Hokusai Museum, which exhibits his works. Since it was a good opportunity, my family and I went there together. I was amazed that he moved 90 times in his life, and the process of creating his works was meticulous and wonderful. Actually, I have 20 years of experience in calligraphy, and I was amazed to see how the three types of calligraphy styles were even applied to paintings.
