Arakawa area (where YUCa’s Japanese Cooking class is located) has been known as one of the oldest town in Tokyo. However, this area started renovating and changing year by year and chosen one of the best area for educating children these days. Tokyo’s last streetcar called “Sakura tram” runs the area and it attracts many train lovers (including my son)! Fabric town & dango shop in Nippori

Categorised in: | Link of this article

In my vlog, I will guide you secret places in Tokyo! This time, I will introduce the fabric town in Nippori. Nippori is best-known for its proximity to the Yanaka Ginza shopping district, which retains something of the Shitamachi (literally “low town”) charm of Tokyo’s less metropolitan past. (I have filmed three vlogs already!) However, on the opposite side of Nippori Station is another of Tokyo’s shopping paradises: Nippori Fabric Town. About 2 minutes’ walk from the Nippori station, you’ll arrive in the land that fabric dreams were hemmed, hand stitched, pressed and made of. For sewing lovers, this vlog is for YOU! Please check the video and plan your itinerary before coming to Tokyo! After visiting the fabric town, I’ll introduce my favorite sweets shop in this area.

Happy New Year of 2020!
In this vlog, I will show you how my family spend on new year’s day and also talk about my plan for 2020!

How was the year of 2019 for you?
So many things happened for both business and private life.
TOP1 Gave birth for second child.
TOP2 Got the honor of the BEST cooking class in Japan by TripAdvisor AGAIN !
TOP3 Published the cookbook (https://yjc.tokyo/store/)

My daughter became 2 months old and eats well, sleeps well and moves so well! I woke up several times at night for nursing her. But thanks to my family’s support, I could restart my class so quickly. Special thanks to my husband!

I hope to teach Japanese cooking for many more guests from abroad and film recipe videos to pursue my mission!
Thank you for your strong support, everyone!
Have a peaceful, warm and yummy(?!) new year of 2020!

Lots of love from Japan,
YUCa
